(January 14, 2016) The first late model race of the year brought out some of the best in the business to try their hand at taming the Las Vegas Motor Speedway dirt track! Twenty seven drivers in all were on hand and were randomly drawn into three heat races where passing points would be crucial. In heat #1 Josh Smith would charge from seventh place to take the win. Heat #2 was won by Brad Moore as he came from 6th and diced his way into the lead and ultimately the win. Heat #3 saw Alex Ostenson jump out to the early lead and lead all but the final two laps as Cole Falloway overtook him and went on for the win.

After two B Mains were won by Matt Kay and Wes Fehrenbacher and one dash won by Brad Moore, the 16 car A main field was set to do battle. Jumping out to the early lead was Brad Moore from his pole starting position and this would be the constant of the night. Behind him the battle for 2nd through 5th was where the action was for all 40 laps. Drivers such as Josh Smith, Cole Falloway, Ben Nading, and Blake Drohman all fought for that coveted 2nd place spot and a chance at Brad Moore. In the closing laps Cole Falloway and Ben Nading would falter as Josh Smith and Blake Drohman took advantage and had a heck of a battle as they tried to run down Brad Moore on the high side. A late race caution provided one last restart for these two drivers to make a pass but neither was successful. Brad Moore would lead every lap of the feature and go on for the win!
