(May 21, 2015) Wow, what an exciting and strange night we had last night here at Dirt Series! We started the night off without a hitch as 22 cars showed up to take their stab at winning the Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway. These 22 cars were some of the most competitive that you will find out there in the rFactor dirt track racing world and boy did they put on a show.

The night started with qualifying as all cars were required to make two timed laps in hopes of locking themselves into the nights A feature straight away. The top eight fastest guys from qualifying did indeed lock themselves into the feature and would run a dash later on. The rest of the field would be divided up into two consolation B mains to get the field set for the A main. In B main #1 we had some heavy hitters as Jim Cummings and Josh Smith would battle it out for the lead. Cummings was just a tad bit better here early in the night as he would hold off the Smith charge and capture the win. In B main #2 we once again had some guys that you normally dont see in a B main. Justin Clark would rally from 7th and take over the lead held by Nathen Wetherbee in just four laps. Clark would go on for the win as Rodney Pearce raced his way in the feature with his second place finish. This then set the stage for the fastest eight in qualifying to hit the track and set the starting order for the feature. As the race started, Wes Fehrenbacher jumped out to the lead and fended off charges from Blake Drohman and James Rotruck. Fehrenbacher would hold on and capture the pole position for the A.

Finally it was time to dial em up for the 100 lap main event. This 16 car lineup was definitely the whose who of rFactor dirt late model racers as all sixteen cars had a shot. Out of corner four at the start of the race, Wes Fehrenbacher led em to the line and it was on from there. Blake Drohman would take the lead for lap number one and go on to lead the next 35 laps of the race. This was until the always fast Ken Short made his way into second and slowly reeled Drohman in lap after lap. He would make his move and overtake the lead on lap 37. Josh Smith would be the hard charger on the night as he came from 10th and challenged Short late in the race, he even showed his nose to Short a few times and gave him something to think about. James Rotruck positioned himself into third halfway through the race. Smith and Rotruck had a heck of a battle for second as both had one goal in mind and that was to chase down Ken Short. Neither had what it took in the end though as they both ran out of laps. Ken Short is now officially your 2015 Dirt Series' Show Me 100 Winner!
